Full Moon times remind me of this lovely book of Calvino, Cosmicomics. Some time ago, when it was a full moon, I illustrated this scene from my imagination inspired by the book. Recently I improved it; now, it became an e-book cover for me to use for the e-book version of Cosmicomics. The book begins with a story about a journey to the Moon, and somewhere it says:
“Now, you will ask me what in the world we went up on the Moon for; I'll explain it to you. We went to collect the milk, with a big spoon and a bucket. Moon-milk was very thick, like a kind of cream cheese.”
Today when I look at the Moon, I’ll dream of collecting some moon-milk, and this time there will be some strawberries as well.
